Police probe third string of break-ins in 3 weeks

WILTON - Wilton police say they're investigating a third string of car break-ins in just as many weeks.

This time, they say eight cars parked outside homes on Ridgefield and Drum Hill roads were targeted Monday morning.

A police spokesman says a bag filled with $800 in cash, an iPod and some gift cards were stolen.

Officers say they're also investigating 18 other car break-ins on Thayer Pond and Wild Duck roads and Wood's End Drive.

They say in every case the cars were left unlocked.
