Police release 911 call on Stamford officer's fall during pursuit

STAMFORD - News 12 Connecticut today obtained a copy of the 911 call from the night a Stamford officer was seriously injured after falling off a bridge abutment following a chase.Officer Troy Strauser fell off a bridge abutment in Norwalk while trying to nab a suspect who had led police on a chase. Police sounded panicked as they called for help after one of their own fell 20 feet onto the pavement.Strauser is recovering at home, slowly but surely, in hopes of returning to the force.Meanwhile, the Stamford Police Association is collecting funds for the Strauser family.Stamford chase suspect appears in courtInjured Stamford police officer back homeInjured Stamford officer out of ICU
