Police release photos of suspected bank robbers

STAMFORD - Stamford police have released a picture of two suspected bank robbers accused of holding up a People's United Bank branch.

One of the suspects is seen wearing a red hoodie and gloves, carrying a bag.

The other was wearing black and holding a gun.

At first, police suspected a hostage situation at the bank.

Police frisked employees and patrons as they left the bank on Saturday morning.

They say some employees hid in the vault while the robbers took money and ran from the scene.
