STAMFORD - Police and fire officials say they responded to reports of a suspicious package in the parking garage of the Target store in Stamford today.

The incident happened this afternoon at the Target on Broad Street, according to authorities.

Police and firefighters say they blocked off the entrances for about 30 minutes, but the store was not evacuated.

Bomb Squad officials say the package turned out to be harmless, but wouldn't go into further detail.
