Police respond to fight at Stratford Hotel & Conference Center

STRATFORD - Stratford police say a massive party at a hotel led to a fight that sent one person to the hospital.

The incident occurred at the Stratford Hotel & Conference Center on Lordship Boulevard at around 2:30 a.m. Authorities say the ordeal involved 100 rowdy people inside the hotel.

Monique Geyer, a guest at the hotel with her fiancé and two young children, says someone started banging on her door and was threatening to kill her. She says it was a dangerous case of mistaken identity.

“What am I going to do if someone actually gets through the door and tries to hurt me, thinking I'm the person that they want,” said Geyer.

She, along with several other families, says they lost everything when a fire gutted their house on Pembroke Street in Bridgeport earlier this month.

No arrests were made during the hotel incident, though one woman was sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
