BRIDGEPORT - Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Bridgeport after witnesses say they heard shots ring out early this morning.

Investigators were at the corner of Noble and Berkshire avenues, where they found the body of 22-year-old Robert Rivera inside of a car with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses say they heard a series of gunshots at around 4:30 a.m.

The Bridgeport Police Department's Major Crimes Squad was at the scene today trying to piece together evidence. They say hope to find a suspect through nearby surveillance cameras.

The incident is now considered the second homicide in Bridgeport this year.
