Police say Cory Dawid faces charges for allegedly strangling his wife

Police say Cory Dawid faces attempted murder, assault, and strangulation charges. (3/11/14)

EASTON - An Easton man is facing charges after allegedly strangling his wife and leaving her unresponsive in their home.

Easton police say they got a call of a domestic dispute just before 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers say they responded to the home on North Park Avenue and 42-year-old Cory Dawid answered the door.

Police say Dawid originally told them nothing was going on. After further questions from the officers, he admitted to getting into a fight with his wife.

Police say he then led them to a different part of the house where they found an unresponsive female.

The victim was taken to a hospital. Her condition has not yet been released.

Police say Dawid faces attempted murder, assault and strangulation charges.
