NORWALK - Norwalk police say a man is facing charges for raping and beating his girlfriend because she tried to break up with him.

Police say Gary Bozzett, 57, grabbed the woman by the throat, slapped her and told her he was going to kill her and then himself.

They say Bozzett then sexually assaulted her.

Police say when they arrived, Bozzett told them they had gotten into an argument but nothing happened.
