Police search for 2 in Stamford market robbery

STAMFORD - Stamford police are searching for two men who they say held up a grocery store last night.

Police say the men carried sawed-off shotguns into the Stillwater Market at around 7:30 p.m. and demanded employees get on the ground as they took the money from a safe.

They also grabbed several cartons of cigarettes and phone cards, according to authorities.

Police say they are looking into whether the robbery is connected with others in the area.
