Police search for children's store robber

NORWALK - Norwalk police are on the hunt for a man who robbed a children's clothing store Tuesday.

According to police, the robbery happened around 8:50 p.m. at The Children's Place located in Darinor Plaza on Connecticut Avenue. Police say the suspect walked in before closing and threatened employees with a kitchen knife.

Officials say the robber then had the three employees lie on the floor while he took $250 out of the register before fleeing on foot.

The suspect is described as a male around 5'10" and 250 pounds. He was wearing a dark sweatshirt, blue jeans and sneakers. Anyone with information is asked to call Norwalk police.
