MONROE - Officials in Monroe are asking for your help solving two of the worst cases of animal cruelty they say they've ever seen.

The two pit bulls were discovered early Thursday morning at 359 Spring Hill Road in Monroe.

Both dogs they named Romeo and Juliette are scabby and anxious from a disease called mange that officials say eats away at the skin and can be terminal if left untreated.

Officials say treatment for the skin diseases could cost up to $5,000.
