Police search for suspects in Bridgeport home invasion

BRIDGEPORT - A Bridgeport man says he and two others were tied up and robbed at gunpoint inside their home this morning.

Police say the two men got into the home on Berkshire Avenue by waiting at the mailbox at around 7 a.m., when one of the residents always comes down to get the newspaper.  They say as soon as the door opened, the men forced their way inside.

Police say amid a confusion of activity inside the home, the men stole money from one of the residents and fled, leaving their gun behind at the crime scene.

The family says the men drove away in a black Nissan Maxima with a getaway driver and a fourth person.
