Police seek suspect in Norwalk shooting

NORWALK - A 19-year-old man was wounded after getting shot in the leg last night at the intersection of Chestnut and Concord streets in Norwalk.

According to police, a nearby officer heard the first shots at around 7 p.m., and neighbors called 911 to report a man had been shot and injured. A passing motorist said one of the bullets struck his car, shattering his back windshield, but he wasn't able to see who did it.

Police are currently investigating the incident and are unable to determine if the shooting was gang-related. No arrests have been made yet, and anyone with information is asked to call the Norwalk Police Department at 203-854-3000.
