STAMFORD - Stamford officials say the son of a police officer has been killed in action in Afghanistan.

They say Todd "T.J." James Lobraico, the son of officer Todd Lobraico, was serving in the Air Force.

Mayor Michael Pavia has ordered that all flags be flown at half-staff to honor the airman. Police are offering support to the Lobraico family, which does not live in Stamford.

They say officer Lobraico, who has been with the Stamford Police Department for more than 15 years, also served in the Air Force.

Police and Pavia declined to comment. The Air Force also would not comment at this time.
