Police: Stamford robberies could be linked

STAMFORD - Stamford police say they believe the same men who held up a convenience store clerk at gunpoint Wednesday could be responsible for a string of robberies in the city.

They say the latest robbery happened at the For Your Convenience variety store on Prospect Street.

Officers say the suspects aimed a silver gun at the clerk and demanded cash before escaping.

No one was injured.

The suspects are described as dark-skinned black males in their late teens to early 20s between the heights of 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches.

Police say they're reviewing surveillance tape for more information on the incident.
