STRATFORD - Stratford police continue to search for the man they believe tried to abduct a 14-year-old girl Wednesday night.

The girl told police she was walking on Dorus Street when the man sprinted over to her, grabbed her arm and tried to pull her into a car.

The girl told police she was able to break free and get away.

The suspect is described as in his mid-40s, approximately 6' tall and 270 lbs. He was wearing dark wrap-around sunglasses, a black "watch cap," and a green T-shirt. He fled in a dark colored full size sedan with a loud exhaust.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Stratford Crime Tip Hotline at 203-375-TIPS (8477).
