Police had been searching the area for any trace of Wiley with the help of cadaver dogs when her remains were found yesterday in a wooded area in Trumbull.
It's unclear how long Wiley's remains had been at the spot. A medical examiner is working to determine the cause of death.
Richards is being held on $2 million bond and is due to appear in court on Monday.
