Police: Toddler pulled from Pequonnock River has died

TRUMBULL - Police say the 21-month-old boy who was pulled out of the Pequonnock River earlier today has died.

Authorities say Thomas Chisholm had fallen into the water behind his home on Lindberg Drive in Trumbull at around 11 a.m.

Police say a crew from the city's Water Pollution Control Authority found Chisholm after two hours near Bunnell's Pond, half a mile from his house.

Investigators say that the drowning appears to be a tragic accident.
