MILFORD - Milford police say the thieves who broke into a cigarette supply store over the weekend stole between $800,000 and $1 million worth of merchandise.Police say the thieves took between between 10,000 and 15,000 cartons of cigarettes early Saturday morning from Montano Cigarette Candy & Tobacco on Boston Post Road.According to police, the suspects apparently used a ladder to climb onto the roof of a pet store and jumped over the cigarette store's roof. Police say the suspects then climbed through a hatch, cut the power wires to the lights and damaged the alarm system.Authorities say the suspects used a stolen Budget rental truck with Oklahoma registration number 2KL379. Anyone with information is asked to call the Milford Police Department at 203-878-6551.
