NORWALK - Police are urging residents to use caution when at an ATM machine after two people are accused of using small cameras to steal ATM information.

A bank employee called police Thursday, informing them a small camera had been glued to an ATM machine. Police, however, were able to make the arrest before any money was stolen.

Victor Constantin, 23, and Gina Georghe, 29, are currently held on bonds totaling $3 million and are scheduled for a pre-trial court hearing on April 20.

"This was not two kids fooling around in the basement, this was a professional setup," Norwalk Police Lt. Paul Resnick says. "If your gut says it's not right, back off [and] report it, you don't want to be the victim of identity theft."

Police are warning ATM users to be cautious when they go to make withdrawals and recommend covering up PIN numbers.
