Police: Waitress arrested for using customer's credit card

FAIRFIELD - Police say they have arrested a waitress after she was caught on tape using a customer's credit card.

Officials say that while the customer sat waiting, 40-year-old Shannon Caruso ran from the Cinzano's restaurant on Black Rock Turnpike to a CVS, where she bought a $100 gift card.

Authorities say video recorded the Christmas Eve incident, allowing police to make the arrest this week.

Employees say Caruso was fired from her job.

Police say she faces charges for fraudulent use of a credit card and larceny.
