WESTON - Weston and state police are investigating after a man broke into a home Friday afternoon and had an altercation with the homeowner.
Authorities say that the incident happened at around 12 p.m. on 10 O' Clock Lane.
Police say that the suspect broke a door to get inside the home and was then confronted by the woman who lives there. They say that the man did manage to get away with a few items from the home.
The homeowner described the suspect to police as a 50-year-old black male with salt-and-pepper hair, weighing 200-210 pounds and wearing a gray sweatshirt or shirt, with a black jacket and blue jeans. She says that the suspect fled the scene in a tan, older model vehicle.
News 12 Connecticut is told that the woman was not seriously hurt.
