NORWALK - Norwalk police say they will have extra patrols after a 10-year-old girl told them a man offered her candy and tried to coax her into his van.

Officers say a student at Cranbury Elementary School claims the man approached her after she got off the school bus on Meadow Street last week.

They say the girl refused the candy, ran away and told her father.

Police say the man was driving a dark blue van with tinted windows, but returned the next day in a white van.
