The U.S. Postal Service is considering more cuts to local mail facilities to save money.The agency says its deciding whether to close the West Avenue

STAMFORD - The U.S. Postal Service is considering more cuts to local mail facilities to save money.

The agency says its deciding whether to close the West Avenue sorting plant in Stamford.

The Processing and Distribution Center employs nearly 400 people.

Last week, the Postal Service announced it's looking into possibly closing the Glenbrook post office in Stamford and two offices in Bridgeport.
