Power outage costly for local merchants

Most of Greenwich and parts of Stamford were left without power following a storm last night, and the outages have been costly for local business

GREENWICH - Most of Greenwich and parts of Stamford were left without power following a storm last night, and the outages have been costly for local business owners. Store owner Joe Marini, who owns a local Chicken Joe's franchise, had about $5,000 worth of food inside his freezer that needed refrigeration. Marini says he had to bring in hundreds of pounds of dried ice from New York to keep his food fresh.

CL&P reported that it is wrapping up its Greenwich restoration of more than 30,000 customers who were affected by the outage.
