Power has been restored after a transformer fire near the Milford Metro-North station caused delays for commuters this morning. Metro-North officials say the fire happened

MILFORD - Power has been restored after a transformer fire near the Milford Metro-North station caused delays for commuters this morning.

Metro-North officials say the fire happened last night and blacked out miles of track between New Haven and Stratford.

Passengers this morning were shuttled between New Haven, Milford and Stratford on diesel trains.

Metro-North says it is still investigating the cause of the fire.
