NEW BRITAIN - President Barack Obama will be in Connecticut today to push for an increase in the federal minimum wage.

He is set to make a speech this afternoon at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain.

Gov. Dannel Malloy and the governors of Massachusetts, Vermont and Rhode Island are all expected to attend.

The President is pushing to raise the federal minimum wage to $10.10 an hour.

A plan is already in place to do that in Connecticut in the next three years.
