BRIDGEPORT - A pretrial date was set in Bridgeport Tuesday for the man who allegedly murdered his own parents and dumped their bodies in Weston.

Kyle Navin was arrested last year for the deaths of his parents, Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin.

The couple from Easton went missing in August, but their remains were not discovered for months.

Arrest documents show Navin exchanged several text messages with his parents the day they went missing, and his father accused him of hurting his mother.

The pretrial date is scheduled for Sept. 13.
