NORWALK - Three prominent Norwalk residents apologized today for taking part in a physical altercation outside City Hall last week.

Amanda Brown, the chair of the Norwalk Democratic Town Committee, stood with former Democratic Councilman Bill Krummel and his wife, Regina, outside City Hall to issue their apology.

Police say it all began when Brown and Regina Krummel got into a heated argument.  They say Regina Krummel pushed Brown and Brown pushed back, knocking Krummel to the pavement. Police say Bill Krummel then slapped Brown, and she reacted by punching him in the face.

Police were called to the scene, but no charges were filed.

The three gathered today to apologize for being poor examples of the city's leadership and to say that they have put the incident behind them.
