Proposal could bring slots to Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT - Video gambling could be coming to southwestern Connecticut.

Members of a state legislative task force say they are likely to recommend adding the machines at the three off-track betting centers in the state.

They say the money would help make up for a drop in slot revenue at Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos.

The plan would be to authorize slots and video gambling at locations in Bridgeport, New Haven and Windsor Locks.
