ORANGE - Protesters took to the streets outside PEZ Candy in Orange today, criticizing the company for not keeping its promise to add jobs.

The protesters say PEZ was supposed to add 20 jobs, and expand its warehouse and manufacturing facilities, in exchange for a $2 million state loan.

PEZ says it has exceeded its obligations and is being targeted by a group of people trying to raise its political profile.

The CEO of PEZ says the company did take part in a state program in exchange for a promise to keep PEZ in Connecticut for 10 years and add 20 more jobs, and that it actually exceeded that commitment.

The state Department of Economic and Community Development says PEZ has met all its obligations and is completely current on its loan.
