Public works crews collecting post-storm debris in New Canaan

NEW CANAAN - Public works crews in New Canaan were out in full force this afternoon, collecting the tons of debris left behind by this weekend's nor'easter.

It's a task town officials are expecting to go on for some time. If you live in New Canaan and are looking to get rid of some storm-related debris, officials say feel free to bring it to your local transfer station for no charge.

Residents can also leave the debris on the side of the road because, for the third time in a little more than a year and a half, New Canaan will be implementing a town-wide post-storm cleanup. Storm Resource Links CL&P vows to restore power by Monday
