BRIDGEPORT - The Puerto Rican Parade of Fairfield County was held today.

Revelers marched down Park Avenue in Bridgeport as a show of pride for their heritage.

Grand marshal and state Sen. Andres Ayala says the parade was a way of saying “thank you” to the community.

"It's about sharing our culture with the city and the state and showing that we're a community that wants to give back," he says.
