NORWALK - Heavy rain caused some big problems on roads throughout Connecticut.

Residents living along Indian Wells Road in Shelton were under a voluntary evacuation order overnight. The homes are just feet away from the Housatonic River. Neighbors say the area floods frequently.

Other areas in Connecticut experienced flooding from the rain. Flooding on River Street in Bridgeport was so deep that cars had to back up to find a new route.
