BRIDGEPORT - A man from New York was shot to death in Bridgeport early this morning.

Police say they received reports of shots fired just before 1 a.m. on Oakleaf Street. Officials say the victim's body was found in the street next to a running car with New York license plates.

Authorities have identified the victim as 49-year-old Ramon Bueno. Bueno's parents say he lived with them in New York City and are not sure why he was in Bridgeport.

The shooting is the city’s third homicide of the year.
