NORWALK - More than 200 registered nurses and lab technicians from the Red Cross say they're considering going on strike.

The workers, who take blood donations, say the agency is putting profits ahead of the safety of donors and workers.

The union representing the workers say they've been without a contract for a year.

The Red Cross says Connecticut's blood supply is safe and that its contract proposals have been fair considering the group's financial challenges.
