Police say 31-year old Pedro Salinas offender is facing child abuse charges after police say he hurt and starved a 2-year old girl.

NORWALK - A registered sex offender is facing child abuse charges after police say he hurt and starved a 2-year old girl.

Police say 31-year old Pedro Salinas lured the girl's mother from California to his home in Norwalk and started abusing the little girl.

They say he even caused her to lose vision in one eye.

Salinas will appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Aug. 2.
