NORWALK - A Norwalk business owner says his new remote surveillance system helped him spot three alleged robbers Sunday morning and alert police.

Yasser Eldermerdash, who owns a Norwalk Laundromat, says he noticed three men trying to rob his business just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Eldermerdash says he couldn't make out the faces of the men, but his remote security system, which is hooked up to his home computer, showed three men trying to rob the change machine.

Eldermerdash called police, who surrounded the business and arrested 20-year-old Neil Scott, of Stamford.

Police say the damage to the store could be much worse if they were alerted later.
