GREENWICH - Today marks the 67th anniversary of D-Day, the day Allied forces invaded Normandy, France during World War II.

It also marks the 88th birthday of Stamford resident Harry Kouzoujian, who was part of the invasion.

On his 21st birthday, paratrooper Kouzoujian was a part of the largest amphibious invasion in world history.

Today, Congressman Jim Himes spent the morning interviewing the veteran for a project for the Library of Congress.

During the fighting in Europe, Kouzoujian was captured, spent 11 months in a prison camp, and was eventually liberated by the Russians.
