STAMFORD - A Stamford man faced a judge today after reportedly causing an accident while under the influence.

The Stamford Advocate reports 33-year-old Antonio Quintana was driving north on West Avenue near the intersection of West Main Street just before noon yesterday when he veered over the double yellow line and struck a car head-on.

The paper reports that police say three children were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Quintana reportedly faces multiple charges, including fleeing the scene of an accident, driving under the influence and not having a license.
