Report: Clive Higgins to be indicted for role in Bridgeport police beating caught on camera

The third Bridgeport police officer involved in a beating caught on camera is reportedly not willing to accept a plea deal. (7/2/14)

BRIDGEPORT - The third Bridgeport police officer involved in a brutal beating caught on camera is reportedly not willing to accept a plea deal.

The Connecticut Post says Sgt. Clive Higgins' deadline to accept a plea deal has come and gone. 

They say law enforcement and court sources expect Higgins to be indicted by a federal grand jury and face trial.

Two other officers already pleaded guilty to charges for their role in the incident.
