Report: Police told to wait before entering Sandy Hook school

A news report is raising questions about the police response to the Newtown school shooting. Hearst media is reporting that dispatchers on the 911 tapes

NEWTOWN - A news report is raising questions about the police response to the Newtown school shooting.

Hearst media is reporting that dispatchers on the 911 tapes can be heard telling first responders to wait before entering the school.

However, a Newtown officer reportedly says the order was directed at ambulance personnel, not police officers.

A 40-page summary of the police report is expected to be released soon.
