NORWALK - Christmas wasn't a day of worship and rest for everyone in southwestern Connecticut.

News 12 stopped by the Silver Star Diner in Norwalk and found it packed with customers Wednesday.

Managers say it's usually twice as busy on Christmas Day, which means extra cash in employees' wallets.

"Nature of the restaurant business is to be there for customers whenever they want to enjoy the holidays," said waitress Betty Geriak.

Many employees say they celebrated Christmas with their families Tuesday.
