NORWALK - Residents across southwestern Connecticut stocked up on supplies to prevent flooding Monday as heavy rains pounded the area.

Many homeowners say they're concerned about severe flooding as they're still recovering from a powerful nor'easter two weeks ago. As a precaution, many of them bought generators, sump pumps and batteries.

Home cleanup and restoration companies say they've also been busy preparing to respond to calls about flooded basements throughout the night and into Tuesday.
