Retaliation suspected in Norwalk home shooting

NORWALK - Police believe someone fired shots at an Orchard Street home in Norwalk Tuesday night in retaliation for recent stabbings. The incident marks the third shooting on the block since January.

Police say they're looking into whether the shootings were sparked by the murder of 17-year-old Tykwan Hunt. The neighborhood has been riddled with violence after four teens, including Hunt, were stabbed at a party on Linden Street. Tuesday night?s shooting was at the house of one of the teens stabbed during the incident. The latest shooting was three doors down from the home of Amos Brown Sr., the father of the teen charged in Hunt?s death. Amos Brown Jr. is currently behind bars.

Residents say six shots were fired at the second-floor window of the home. Witnesses of the shooting saw a man get into a car on the corner of Orchard and Quincy and take off. Police have recovered two 9 mm shell casings from the corner and continue to search for additional evidence.
