Reward offered in Darien People's United bank robbery

DARIEN - Darien police are offering a $2,000 reward to help them catch the man who held up a bank at gunpoint last week.

It happened last Wednesday at the People's United branch on Old Kings Highway North.

Police say the man used an open blue plaid umbrella to shield himself from some of the cameras, then pulled out a silver gun and jumped over the counter.

They say he got away with an unknown amount of cash.
