STAMFORD - Police say they were called to Richard Palkimas' home on Soundview Avenue Wednesday afternoon after he got into a fight with his 16-year-old daughter and she locked herself in a car.
The police report says she would not come out of the vehicle because she was afraid of how angry her father was. Police say at that point Palkimas attacked the car with a pickaxe to try to get inside.
Palkimas' attorney, Lindy Urso, says he didn't want to hurt his daughter and was just trying to help her get out of the car. Urso says the girl was never in any danger.
