RIDGEFIELD - Hundreds of Ridgefield residents gathered to watch local Olympian Tucker West compete in the men's luge Saturday.

The viewing party was held at the Ridgefield Playhouse. Supporters of Team Tucker sported matching shirts.

Organizers say once people discovered 18-year-old's Olympic journey, they were quick to root for the hometown hero.

News 12 spoke with West's sister, who says support from the community is incredible.

West ranked 23rd after his first two runs and will have two more today.
