STRATFORD - Stratford fire officials say a road collapsed early Saturday morning.

They say it happened at around 1:30 a.m. near the Homewood Suites building on Main Street.

No one was injured when the road collapsed.

Crews closed the southbound onramp to the Merritt Parkway as they worked to fix the road, but it has since reopened.

Officials are investigating what caused the road to collapse.
