Robbers strike Greenwich jewelry store

GREENWICH - Greenwich police are searching for two men who robbed a high-end jewelry store this morning.

According to police, two men walked into Betteridge Jewelers near Greenwich Avenue and Lewis Street at around 9:30 a.m. They say the suspects smashed a display case and made off with an undetermined amount of jewelry.

Officials say the men fled the scene in an older white Honda with a New York registration and a partial license plate of "D17." The vehicle was last seen heading down Lewis Street.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Greenwich police detectives.
